Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono, President of the International Scientific Committee of Leanprove, implements the first Six Sigma project in Italy at the General Electric plants.
Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono is speaker of the first conference organized in Italy on Six Sigma, where he presents the strength of the methodology as a "modus operandi" useful to manage the daily complexity of all companies of any size and sector.
We develop the first Six Sigma project in the USA in Washington for TRW Inc., one of the world's leading aerospace companies.
We develop the first Design For Six Sigma project in China in Shanghai for Baosteel Group Corporation, China's bigger steel group and one of the world's greater steel producers.
As part of a visit to companies and universities in Boston and Detroit on the theme of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma, Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono coordinates the Italian delegation of entrepreneurs from 40 companies. Among the stops also touched IBM, Delphi, Henry Ford Hospital, MIT Boston, Boston College, Wayne State University.
During a visit to companies in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka, on the theme of Lean, Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono coordinates the Italian delegation composed of entrepreneurs from 44 companies, to share the application of Lean Manufacturing in Toyota, Toshiba, Yamada and Denso.
Leanprove coordinates the "Lean Six Sigma in Sanità" project, supporting 30 hospital companies throughout Italy in Continuous Improvement projects. As part of this initiative, Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono is the author of the book "Lean Six Sigma in Healthcare", presented in the presence of the Minister of Health.
The Scientific Committee of Leanprove publishes "Lean Six Sigma: scientific methodology applied for Kaizen Leader and Green Belt", Publisher Springer. Born from the direct application of the method in the most varied business realities, it is the best-selling book in Italy on the subject of Lean Six Sigma (over 15,000 copies sold).
Leanprove organizes the first edition of Forum R-Innova!, the event dedicated to innovation and business reorganization that brings together entrepreneurs, CEOs and managers of the most important Italian and international companies. The Forum is opened by Prof. Kai Yang, one of the leading experts in business reorganization, father of Design For Six Sigma and member of the International Scientific Committee of Leanprove.
Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono organizes and is Chairman of the International Conference on Axiomatic Design (ICAD) with the participation of Prof. Nam P. Suh, Inventor of Axiomatic Design. ICAD is the annual meeting of the leading experts in Axiomatic Design and Design For Six Sigma.

Prof. Gabriele Arcidiacono (Europe)
Vice-Rector for Research at the “Guglielmo Marconi” University of Rome, where he is also Full Professor of Mechanical Design and Machine Construction. Director of the Department of Engineering Sciences (2020–2025). Coordinator of the university’s interdisciplinary laboratory on Artificial Intelligence applications. He served as Visiting Professor (1998) and Guest Researcher (2000) at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, USA. President of the Leanprove Foundation, a non-profit organization established by leading innovation companies in Italy. Founding members include Nestlé, Leonardo Company, Angelini Technologies, Baker Hughes, Johnson & Johnson, Il Sole 24 Ore, ANIA (National Association of Insurance Companies), and Santander Consumer Bank. He implemented the first Six Sigma program in Italy (1996) for General Electric and has led more than 400 companies through this transformation journey across Europe, North America, South America, and Asia. He is a contributor to Il Sole 24 Ore and the author of over 160 scientific articles and 13 books, including “Lean Six Sigma in Healthcare” (co-authored with Daniel T. Jones), which was presented on October 25, 2012, in the presence of the Minister of Health.
Prof. Fabrizio Lepri (Europe)
Professor of Human Resources and Skills Management at the University of Rome La Sapienza and ICF.
He was a professor for various Masters on Human Resources Management including Master HR Luiss Guido Carli and member of the Organization Workshop and the Bicocca Training Lab, at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Bologna and the Faculty of Education of the University of Milan-Bicocca.
In ERICSSON TELECOMUNICAZIONI (1985 – 1997) he was project manager of large international projects, in TELECOM ITALIA MOBILE (1997-2000) Head of the Organization and in POSTE ITALIANE (2000 – 2019), among his numerous positions, Head of Organizational Development, of Training, Internal Communication, Quality and Customer Experience.
Since 2020 he has been working as Human Resources Senior Advisor for Italian and international manufacturing and service companies.
He has one of the most important experiences in Italy as a trainer and coach in the field of selection and training of human resources, analysis of training needs, analysis of the organizational climate, project management and guide of corporate change.
Prof. Kai Yang (USA and Asia)
Professor at Wayne State University in Detroit.
President of the Ph.D. Program in Industrial and Systems Engineering.
Director of the Healthcare Systems Engineering Group.
He is considered one of the world’s leading experts in business reorganization and innovation; author of the main reference texts on the subject, including “Leading processes to lead companies. Lean Six Sigma: Kaizen Leader & Green Belt Handbook”. Prof. Yang has influenced the design world with his books. In particular through the text “Design for Six Sigma: A Roadmap for Product Development” he provided guidelines to integrate traditional quality and statistical methods with advanced innovative principles. He has been protagonist in the last twenty years of important projects of reorganization and design of industrial processes / products for companies such as Apple Samsung, Siemens, General Motors, Ford, Chrysler.
